CREATE THE UNEXPECTED
Compact and cosmopolitan Leeds offers a wealth of venues, attracting visitors for world-class sport, large scale association conferences, live music and cultural events.
It’s fair to say we know how to put on a show. In 2013 we hosted the BBC Sports Personality of the Year at first direct arena. In 2014 Le Grand Départ of the Tour de France included events at The Headrow, Harewood House and White Cloth Gallery. For the last three years the National Teach First Summer Institute has taken over the city’s universities and in 2017 the event will return for the fourth consecutive year.
For 2017, we're looking forward to hosting the Columbia Threadneedle World Triathalon Leeds for the second year and the University Safety and Health Association Spring Conference.
The city is also home to one-off spaces, civic venues and heritage sites, including Harewood House, Leeds Town Hall and Elland Road. Our planning team can also offer sports grounds and stunning parks as possible venues, ensuring your event location is anything but ordinary.
Leeds is home to over 189 venues, of which 20 have AIM accreditation, with an unprecedented 4 gold awards. With our exciting venues working in partnership to deliver multiple venue large scale conferences and events, including three major universities, the new first direct arena and the world renowned Royal Armouries, it’s easy to see why Leeds’ conferencing city proposition puts the city in the top ten UK conferencing destinations.
Key to the offer in Leeds is the way in which our venues work together; we offer unrivalled access to city centre venues, who will work in partnership to ensure the whole city is at your disposal and your chosen combination of venues is truly tailor made.
