By Rail and Bus

Frequent, direct trains carry visitors from London to Leeds in just over two hours. There are also regular services from Scotland, the Northeast, the Midlands and across the Pennines.

You can book First Transpennine Express trains to Leeds from just £5.50.

East Coast operates an inter-city train service from Leeds to London's Kings Cross, running half-hourly at peak times.

CrossCountry trains also run a frequent service from many of Britain's major cities such as Newcastle, Birmingham, Cardiff, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

By Road

Sitting at the crossroads of the M62 and M1 with the A1/M1 link, Leeds is easy to reach at speed from any direction; Leeds ring road connects motorists to all major routes into the city. And, with a great number of car parks strategically placed at convenient locations throughout Leeds, parking is seldom a problem.

By Coach

By Air - UK

Leeds Bradford International Airport lies just eight miles north of the city. With direct flights from 13 UK destinations, you can fly to Leeds from Aberdeen, Belfast, Bristol Edinburgh, Exeter, Glasgow, Isle of Man, Jersey, London, Newquay, Plymouth, Southampton and many more.

By Air - International

Frequent scheduled services run between Leeds Bradford International Airport and the main airports of London Heathrow, Amsterdam, Brussels, Dublin and Paris, enabling worldwide connections.

No-frills airline Jet2.com has boosted the numbers of visitors flying to Leeds from all over Europe, and has recently been voted by Guardian and Observer readers as the best short-haul airline in 2008.

Other airlines operating scheduled flights include Flybe and Eastern Airways, which won European Regions Airline of the year in 2007. Leeds is also very well connected to Manchester Airport; the airport train service operates on a 24-hour basis with trains running every half hour throughout the day.

By Ferry
