Leeds Metropolitan University becomes Leeds Beckett University

Leeds Metropolitan University officially became Leeds Beckett University last week (22 September), when around 10,000 new students arrived at the university to enrol. The change reflects the University’s desire to have a name which is unique and which reflects its ambition and distinctive position in a competitive global context.

As BBC One’s smash hit entertainment show Strictly Come Dancing returns to our TV screens this month, tickets for the 2015 Strictly Come Dancing Live UK tour, which will return to the first direct arena this January, will go on sale next week.
