Accent Clothing collaborate with local Boxing champion Jack Bateson
Leeds Indie, Accent Clothing love to support the local home grown talent and it goes without saying that Leeds is full of it. With no exception to this is Jack Bateson, a Team GB Amateur Boxer. At only 21 years old Jack has already become: 2x Senior ABA Champion, a European Bronze Medallist and has a Sky Scholarship. Unfortunately, Bateson didn’t make the team for the Rio 2016 Olympics but that didn’t faze him, he explained to Accent all about his future career plans…
“My feelings towards 2017 are to make my career professional, getting on televised shows and making a name for myself. In the future I want to become a world champion in the professional ranks and maybe one day sell out Leeds Direct Arena.“ - Jack Bateson
Jack also revealed to Accent how he was introduced to boxing at a young age and how it has always been a lifelong dream of his to make it professionally. He competed professionally in his first fight aged only 11 and although he lost his first fight for England, this only made his motivation and passion for boxing grow stronger as he told himself to never give up. Accent admires Jack’s drive and determination with everything he does.
