Bevox Show arrives at Leeds Town Hall this Sunday
Described as “the choir that has fun”, BeVox makes its debut appearance at Leeds Town Hall on Sunday 24 July at 4pm to present an exciting concert in celebration of singing.
The contemporary community choir BeVox features around 200 singers from across Yorkshire and the East Midlands, coming together in a massive celebration of singing. With its unique blend of fun and musical excellence, the choir presents a programme ranging from the sublime (Gershwin’s classic Summertime, or The Rolling Stones’ haunting Wild Horses) to the slightly ridiculous (The Muppet Show theme tune – complete with a choir of kazoos!).
BeVox - the real people’s choir - has been entertaining audiences across the region for the last six years, with nearly 300 performances to its name. The choir has helped to raise over £55,000 for charity in this time, and sung at venues such as Wakefield Cathedral, Sheffield City Hall, Nottingham Albert Hall and the Lincoln Performing Arts Centre. BeVox has also surprised passers-by with seemingly impromptu “flash mob” events in Meadowhall, St Pancras Train Station, and even outside Buckingham Palace.
This is the first time the BeVox experience has come to Leeds, and they’re ready to raise the roof!
Tickets are priced at £12 and £10 and are available from the Box Office on 0113 376 0318 or book online at www.leedstownhall.co.uk
