Brighten up the summer with music in Leeds Parks
The sun is shining through the window at the Leeds International Concert Season office today, so what better time to announce our Summer Bands in Leeds Parks series! From the beginning of May until the end of September, the bandstands of the city will resound to the music of local brass, jazz and concert bands with Leeds International Concert Season’s Summer Bands in Leeds Parks series. Most concerts are on Sundays from 2.30pm to 4.30pm and are absolutely free*.
The 2016 series includes 100 concerts with over 45 bands performing. The 27 parks involved include Bramley, Burley, Canal Gardens - Roundhay, Dartmouth - Morley, Farnley Hall, Gledhow Valley Woods, Golden Acre, Horsforth Hall, Lotherton Hall, Meanwood, Middleton, New Farnley Recreation Ground, New Wortley Recreation Ground, Pudsey, Springhead – Rothwell, Tarnfield – Yeadon, Temple Newsam, Victoria Park – Calverley, Western Flatts Cliff – Wortley, Westroyd Park – Farsley, Wetherby, Wharfemeadows Park - Otley and the new additions this season are Alwoodley Village Green, Beckett Park, The Hollies, Tinshill Recreation Ground and West Park Fields.
