Fifties-Themed Foodie Fun as The Light Announces Second Secret Supper Club
Hot on the heels of the success of its first-ever Secret Supper Club in April, The Light in Leeds announces a second event; The Light Presents Summer Loving – to take place on Friday 1 July 2016. The evening will raise money for local charity, St George’s Crypt.
Diners are invited to step back in time for an evening of delicious food, cocktails and entertainment – at a secret location, not revealed until the night itself!
Dig out your leather jackets and polka dot skirts and step back into the 1950s – when girls wanted to be Marilyn and men wanted to be Marlon, Rock & Roll was taking over the airwaves and grease was the word!
Put a nickel in the jukebox and pick your favourite Elvis track, watch the roller girls take over the dance floor and drink your fill of ice cream cocktails. The perfect way to start your summer, The Light Presents Summer Loving is an event not to be missed.
The Light’s first Secret Supper Club – A Speakeasy Soiree – took place on Friday 22 April and was an instant sellout. Taking place at brasserie Browns, the twenties-themed event saw guests transported back to the Prohibition Era – drinking cocktails and dining on a three-course menu whilst watching a live jazz band and flapper dancers.
Stephanie James, Marketing Manager at The Light, said: “Our first Secret Supper Club was a great success. All the guests made a huge effort and really looked the part, and everyone loved the food and entertainment.
‘We’re exciting to be launching our second event and we’re expecting it to be even bigger and better. Who doesn’t love the fifties?! Most importantly, it’s another chance to raise money for the vital work of St George’s Crypt.”
Tickets for The Light presents Summer Loving are priced at £25 – with £5 from each ticket going directly to St George’s Crypt, supporting vulnerable and homeless people around the city.
