Rugby League World Cup

Leeds is proud to be a host city for the Rugby League World Cup 2021; One year later than planned, but bigger, better, and bolder than ever before. The sport’s best athletes will be on show as the men’s, women’s and wheelchair tournaments take place simultaneously for the first time ever.

Hosting more games than any other city, Elland Road will stage the men’s Semi-Final, while Headingley Stadium will host three men’s games and four women’s games. The full schedule of Leeds fixtures are available here.

On Friday 28 October the streets of Leeds will take centre stage as a spectacular outdoor show celebrates the rolethat sport and art play in bringing people and communities together. Along with other host cities across the North, Leeds presents Power of Performance: This is Us! as part of the Rugby League World Cup Cultural Festival. It will take place in Victoria Gardens, Cookridge Street and Millennium Square between 4pm and 6pm.

The Rugby League World Cup takes place between Saturday 15 October 2022 and Saturday 19 November 2022.
