Enjoy a fantastic day out at Lotherton Hall, a great day out for the family.

This charming Edwardian country estate once home to the Gascoigne family offers you plenty of choice things to do and see. Visit the house to see what life was like in Edwardian times, go back in time by dressing up in our children’s area, or travel around the world with the new interactive ‘The Gascoignes Abroad’. Make sure to take a stroll around the fabulous bird garden and see owls, flamingos and much more! Plus walk around the stunning grounds and visit the historic stables and carriage displays.

There is a choice of two play areas including the woodland play area for older kids. Lotherton has great events and activities programme on throughout the year check out our website for more details.

Visit the gift shop and stables café which has a fantastic selection of homemade cakes and light meals or you can enjoy a family picnic while watching a herd of deer.

Summer opening times:

March to October:
House, café, shop and bird garden, 10:00 - 17:00 with last entry at 16:15
April to September:
Estate gates07:30 - 20:00

Winter opening times:

November – February:
House, café, shop and bird garden: 10:00 - 16:00 with last entry at 15:15
October – March:
Estate gates 07:30 to 18:00

January and February: there will be a programme of guided tours and limited opening times in the House. Please contact us before you visit for full details.

Christmas opening times:

Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day: Closed
December 24 and 31: The estate will close early at 13:00 and last entry is at 12:15.


Lotherton has a single admission price that includes entry to the park, bird garden and hall, including parking

Adult - £5.50, LeedsCard £4.20, LeedsCard Extra £3.00

Concession - £4.40

Membership Admission is free to members of the Leeds Art Fund, Friends of Leeds City Museums and the National Arts Collection Fund.

Child - £2.70 (Aged 5 to 18 years), LeedsCard £2.10

Family - £16.50, LeedsCard: £12.60, LeedsCard Extra: £9.00

Group - £4.00 per person for pre-booked groups of 15 or more.

Max card - General admission is free
