The Real Wuthering Heights
The Real Wuthering Heights: the story of the withins farms The ongoing celebrations of the bicentenaries of the birth of the Bronte Siblings (Charlotte, Anne, Emily and Bramwell) have increased interest in the world that they inhabited.
This exhibition is displaying original illustrations created for the book The Real Wuthering Heights:The Story of the Withins Farms written by Steven Wood and Peter Brears.
Peter’s illustrations of the interiors and exteriors provide a view into the lost world of the Withins farms – the location that inspired Emily Bronte’s famous novel Wuthering Heights.
Complementing the illustrations are contemporary photographs by Anni Vassallo which capture the atmosphere of the location and the surrounding moors.
