BEATRICE MOORE (violin) DANIEL GORDON (piano)
Beatrice Moore started playing the violin at the age of 5. In 2006 she was awarded a music scholarship at Chigwell School where she led their First Orchestra, Senior String Orchestra, and many other ensembles.
From 2005-2008 Beatrice was a member of the National Children’s’ Orchestra and during this time she also won a number of cups at the Stratford and East London Music Festival. She went on to study the violin with Anna-Liisa Bezrodny at the Junior Guildhall until 2011 where she was a member of both their Symphony Orchestra and Junior String Ensemble. She was also highly commended in 2010 in the Guildhall’s prestigious Lutine Prize competition and also whilst she was there led a quartet to the semi-finals of the Pro Corda Chamber Music Festival.
Beatrice has been a member of the Essex Youth Orchestra from 2011-2014 years and became leader for 2 years under the conductorship of Robin Browning.
She is currently in her final year at the University of Leeds studying Music, and has been extremely involved with various extra-curricular musical ensembles within the University. She has been a member of LUUMS Symphony Orchestra and Chamber Orchestra, been a member of the band for shows performed by the Musical Theatre and Opera societies, as well as playing alongside Masters Students in both trios and quintets.
