Wrestling the Walrus - The Exhibition

Wrestling the Walrus - The Exhibition

Wrestling the Walrus is a year long project by 154 Collective, exploring a single narrative across a range of different artistic platforms. By the end of the project, 154 Collective will have created an Art Exhibition, a Graphic Novel, an Installation and a multi art form Theatre Production.

Each aspect of the project will explore the narrative from a different perspective and are designed in such a way that they can be experienced either as stand alone pieces of work, or, collectively, revealing a richer deeper narrative across all the of work Wrestling the Walrus presents the story of two apparent strangers who form an unlikely friendship across a series of seemingly chance encounters. As they share stories from their pasts, they begin to not only question the truth of their adventures, but one of them starts to suspect that they might not actually be strangers after all.

Much of our work explores different aspects of the human condition; creating intimate and personal stories that explore much wider and universal themes. We create rich, multi layered narratives that invite our audiences to draw more from our work, such as deeper narratives, than is explicitly presented.
