The Plusnet Leeds Half Marathon – which this year celebrates its 32nd anniversary - is firmly established as one of the highlights on Leeds’s sporting calendar thanks to its challenging course, enthusiastic crowds and fantastic atmosphere.
Around 9,000 sign up for this annual event raising hundreds of thousands of pounds for charities and good causes across Yorkshire and beyond.
The 2017 event takes place on Sunday May 14th at 9.30am.
The route starts in The Headrow alongside Victoria Gardens, heads out of the city centre, takes in a section of the Ring Road and returns via Abbey Road and Kirkstall Road before finishing in Cookridge Street alongside Millennium Square.The event is staged in partnership with Leeds City Council and forms part of the Plusnet Marathon Series that also features the Yorkshire Half Marathon-Sheffield and the Yorkshire Marathon.
A huge army of volunteers [http://www.runforall.com/volunteer] also contribute to ensuring that the event is one that lives long in the memory. Their efforts help create an experience of which the whole of Yorkshire can be proud.

By Road: From all routes head towards Leeds city centre. Arriving in Leeds, follow the signs for the loop road. This road will take you around the city centre on a one way system. Millennium Square is located at junction four of the loop. Parking is located signposted around the city centre, with coach parking found next to it.
By public transport: From Leeds city station exit the train station by the Queens hotel and cross over the road by the Park Plaza hotel. Walk straight up Park Row and cross The Headrow. Victoria Gardens is found to your left
From Leeds bus station head towards the market on New York Street, turn right onto Vicar Lane and at the crossroads, turn left onto the Headrow. Walk down The Headrow until you get to a crossroads with Costa Coffee on your left and Radisson SAS on your right. Victoria Gardens is opposite Radisson SAS and next the the Library and Art Gallery.
