Having celebrated 20 years of our favourite Wednesday night MoveOnUp [https://www.facebook.com/MoveOnUpLeeds/] earlier this year, we thought it only seemed fitting to make those New Year's resolutions for 2017 with the infectious funk & soul melodies of our flagship nights resounding in our ears... Tunes are provided by special guest DJ Marko Afro, the super selector from Leeds' mothership of wax, Jumbo Records. For twenty years, MoveOnUp has been drawing in Leeds’ dancers with its no nonsense formula: spinning the finest selection of sixties soul in slick surroundings. It’s as simple as that. Our DJs' blend of Tamla Motown, Atlantic Soul, Sixties Beat, Hammond Funk and rarer Northern Soul has helped MoveOnUp become one of the UK's longest running weekly club nights.

Leave the M1 at junction 43 & join the M621 motorway signed Leeds City Centre. Exit at Junction 3 & continue along the A653 passing Bewleys Hotel whilst making sure to stay in the right hand side lane. After about 0.5km the road will divide into four lanes, & as long as you have kept right you will approach a set of traffic lights. Turn right at these lights onto Great Wilson Street, & immediately move into the left hand side lane so that ASDA House is on your left. At the next set of lights turn left & continue along Meadow Lane/Bridge End, going over the bridge & through the next set of lights, passing the Golden Lion Hotel on your left & Bar Fibre & Queens Court on your right. Upon reaching the next junction, turn right onto Duncan Street & continue along until you see an Oxfam - we are next door to this, up the pedestrianized side street.
