I Do Like To Be Beside The Seaside

I Do Like To Be Beside The Seaside

Details

We’re bringing the seaside to Leeds for the month of August with our South West Beer Festival!

Our pals down at Vessel Beer Shop [http://www.vesselbeer.co.uk/] in Plymouth with be curating what’s on our taps at the Fram bars and a selection of bottles in our fridges across all three of our venues for the whole month! With beers from Cornwall, Devon, Dorset and Somerset, you’ll have the taste of the seaside right on your doorstep in the heart of Yorkshire. We have a full tap takeover in the works to launch the festival on 1st August, as well as a few additional events with our South West brewery friends, so watch this space for updates on what’s going to be happening!

Here’s a run down of a selection of the breweries we’ll be working with…

Verdant Brewing Co [https://verdantbrewing.co/] – Verdant is the result of 3 mens needs to be drinking the beers they like. Adam & James started out as homebrewers and they decided that they wanted access to more hop forward beers, than they could get in any of their locals. So they started brewing in a shipping container in the Autumn of 2014, they now have their very own building and an additional brewer in Rich, a brewing capacity of 10bbl, with the ability to brew 3 times a week. This is small batch beer. Think juicy, hoppy, unfiltered hazy beers. Fizzy and cold.

New Lion Brewery [https://www.newlionbrewery.co.uk/] – New Lion began creating trial brews in temporary quarters in the autumn of 2013. Over the winter, they built a new brewery from scratch on Station Road, slowly expanding capacity. Now they’ve got a state-of-the-art brewery that can produce 45 barrels a week. In addition to their three basic beers, they’re working with local businesses and community groups to create experimental and one-off beers like a pumpkin ale, a chilli beer, and a mushroom stout.

Moonchild Brewing Co [https://www.moonchildbrewing.co.uk/] – Based in Devon, Moonchild brew innovative and high quality artisan beer with all natural ingredients, unfined, unfiltered and unpasteurised for a fuller flavour.

Woodman’s Wild Ale [https://www.facebook.com/woodmanswildale/] – A new Cornish microbrewery incorporating foraged and wild ingredients into an ever changing seasonal range of delicious ales.

Black Flag Brewery [http://www.blackflagbrewery.com/] – An 8bbl microbrewery based just outside of Perranporth on the North Cornwall coast, concentrating on creating small batches of the beers they want to drink using the best ingredients around. All their beers are unfiltered and unpasteurised.
