Eating Out: Cafes, Pubs & Tea Rooms

A shopping spree in Leeds is like nothing else. Famously dubbed the 'Knightsbridge of the North', Leeds prides itself on its stylish, chic image. The retail heaven here certainly reflects this.

Leeds nightlife is legendary. Be entertained at gigs, comedy or cabaret, or go for cocktails and dance til dawn in the city's coolest bars and clubs. A Leeds night out is hard to beat.

A Leeds spa experience will leave you feeling peaceful and energised. From luxury hotel spas, to ladies day spas and fabulous salons around the city, you've plenty of reasons to book some 'me time'.

Leeds boasts exciting and unique attractions varying from museums and galleries to historic houses, a festive wonderland and a tropical paradise! The hard part is deciding where to go first!

Our city is fabulously rich in culture and the arts, with more venues, festivals and acts appearing all the time. You're never far from breathtaking music, dance or theatre, so, prepare to be entertained!

You're never far from a fantastic cafe or pub in Leeds- great for a break from the shopping and sightseeing. The landmark Tiled Hall Cafe (next to Leeds Art Gallery) is as much a feast for your eyes as it is for your stomach, with beautiful mosaic tiles to marvel at whilst enjoying your Yorkshire cream tea. It's family friendly too. Whitelocks is the oldest pub in Leeds, dating back to 1715. It's full of character and a great place to stop for a refreshing ale and a hearty meal. Don't miss Pickles and Potter for a great range of unusual but delicious sandwiches- a real local favourite. If you know and love your coffee, order an espresso from the real Milan Cafe experience La Bottega Milanese on The Calls- you won't be disappointed! For sushi and noodles, head to Sesame. Over in Headingley, Shaky Jakes is a 50's style diner serving every flavour of milkshake imaginable! If you fancy something more health conscious, visit Smoothiemania on Vicar Lane for a healthy juice or smoothie, made fresh to order.
