Five fabulous Santas’ to visit in Leeds this Christmas

The highlight of most children’s Christmas is a visit to the big man himself, we’re showcasing five family friendly Santa experiences in Leeds for this festive season.

 

Santa’s Breakfast at Leeds Christkindelmarkt

Saturdays and Sundays until 21 December

For the ultimate Christmas experience, why not treat all the family to a festive breakfast with Santa.
Join Santa in the Alp Chalet at Leeds Christkindelmarkt, where you’ll be greeted by one of Santa’s helpers and enjoy a buffet style breakfast, before Santa pays a special visit to each table and presents a gift to the children.
Later, take part in a festive treasure hunt around the Christkindelmarkt, or visit the Christkindel-fair.

 

Santa at the Christmas Experience, Lotherton

The Christmas Experience offers different opportunities to visit Santa;

Santa’s North Pole – journey to the tree-lined home where Santa and his elves are preparing for Christmas. Meet the elves, help out in the crafts workshop, make a souvenir to take home and write a postcard to give to Santa to make sure he knows what you want! Then meet Santa himself and receive a Christmas gift.

Santa in the Elf Village – for pre-schoolers who want to visit Santa but the full 40 minutes in the North Pole making crafts etc is too much. Visit Santa and receive a gift in his cosy cabin in The Elf Village on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays from 2 December, 11am – 2pm.

For children with additional needs there are two relaxed sessions on 3 and 12 December where children can visit Santa and his elves in a less formal setting. . To book please call 0113 3783167.

Make sure you make the most of your festive day out and visit the Twelve Days of Christmas Walk, the House as well as the new outdoor Ice Rink.

Father and Mrs Christmas at Harewood

Enjoy a festive family experience at the home of Father and Mrs Christmas. Visit Father Christmas’ cottage, where you’ll receive a warm welcome from Mrs Christmas and Candy the Elf.

At Home with Father and Mrs Christmas includes interactive stories and songs, a photo opportunity with Father Christmas and a personalised traditional gift for children.

Festive Music and Merriment with Father Christmas includes a musical workshop, story time and songs, a photo opportunity with Father Christmas and a personalised traditional gift for every child. Complete your visit with a freshly baked treat from Candy the Elf.

With options offer a chance to visit the A Night at the Mansion experience in the House, and a programme of festive family activities throughout the whole of Harewood. End your visit toasting marshmallows in the Courtyard with a tasty hot chocolate, or take in the enchanting Christmas lights on the Terrace.

 

Santa at Temple Newsam
7 & 8, 14 & 15, 21 & 22 December

Santa will be setting up his workshop in Temple Newsam House this December in preparation for Christmas; why not visit him there and receive a gift for each child.

There’s lots of festive activities going on in the house and around the estate; make your own pine cone decoration to take home, join in with wreath making and medieval tile crafting or just cosy up by the open fire.

Explore the house and see how past generations celebrated Christmas, wander round the cobbled streets and visit farmyard friends, pick up some festive fayre at Mrs Pawson’s Shop or enjoy a warming treat in the Courtyard Café.

Father Christmas at Abbey House Museum
1, 8, 14, 15, 21, 22 and 28 December, 10am-12pm and 2-4pm

Get into the festive spirit and enjoy a Christmas treat for all the family at Abbey House Museum.
Wander around the magically decorated Victorian Streets, listen to the carols and write your Christmas list. Then visit Father Christmas and his friendly elf in his grotto.
Dress up, decorate a Christmas ornament, have a go at the Christmas trail and make some lovely family memories.

Santa will be visiting lots of other venues around Leeds this festive season, before he rushes back to the North Pole for his epic Christmas Eve journey. You can catch him whilst you are out shopping at Victoria Leeds, the Merrion Centre, the White Rose Shopping Centre and even join him on a steam train at Middleton Railway.
