Looking for some fun activities to do this October half term? Here is a list of all the events taking place in Leeds. From spooky activities to fun craft sessions, there is something for everyone!

 

Halloween at Abbey House Museum
Saturday 24 October – Sunday 1 November 2020, Abbey House Museum
Explore the spooky streets of Abbey House Museum this Halloween as they will be decorated with skeletons and spooks! Dress up in your favourite Halloween costume and take part in the terrifying trail and the creepy competitions around the museum. Don’t forget to collect a monster bag of crafts and activities to take home and complete.

Saturday 24 October – Sunday 1 November 2020, Leeds City Museum
Discover the joy of small things at Leeds City Museum this half term. There will be a scavenger hunt to spot the teeny, tiny things around the big museum. Collect a craft activity from the museum shop that can be taken home to enjoy. Tune in to the Leeds City Museum Facebook page to take part in some fun online craft activities throughout the week.

Putting the Happy in Halloween
Tuesday 27 – Thursday 29 October 2020, Leeds Industrial Museum
Putting the Happy in Halloween, Leeds Industrial Museum are holding family craft sessions which include willow wand making and creating your own luxury bath bombs. The fun doesn’t stop there, discover spooky stories with 21st century witches from the Leodis Pagan Circle as well as taking part in a mini beast hunt.

October Half Term at Thwaite Watermill
Tuesday 27 October – Sunday 1 November 2020, Thwaite Watermill
There’s plenty to see and do at Thwaite this half term. Enjoy an autumnal nature trail down the canal. Explore the Georgian house, mill buildings and ground whilst unlocking the witches magic spell by tracking down the coded clues around the site during the Halloween themed trail. Collect a grab and go craft bag that can be enjoyed during your visit or can be completed at home.

Spooky Skeletons Trail
Saturday 24 October – Sunday 1 November 2020, Lotherton Hall
Dress up in your favourite Halloween costume and follow the skeletons trail around the estate and into the haunted house. As you search for the spooky skeletons, explore the woods and the creepy historic rooms that have been decorated for a fun, but frightening Halloween experience.

Halloween Experience at Stockeld Park
Saturday 24 October – Sunday 1 November 2020, Stockeld Park
Head to Stockeld Park for some frightening family fun this Halloween. Explore the Enchanted Forest, look out for the wicked witches and enjoy a pumpkin picking experience. Tickets allow access into the spooky maze as well as four playgrounds including, Farmer Foster’s Playground, Teepee Encampment Playground, Woodlands Cove Playground and the Spider’s Lair Playground.

16 September – 31st December 2020, Royal Armouries Musuem
Calling all junior explorers! Enjoy the animal trail at the Royal Armouries Museum, explore the various galleries in search for the hidden animals. From animals to beasts to mythical creatures, there’s plenty to discover this half term.
