Easter Activities to Enjoy

1st April 2021

With Easter weekend fast approaching, here’s a roundup of things to do.

For some family fun, enjoy a family yoga session where you will be led on an adventure with the Easter Bunny and enjoy Easter-themed yoga, storytelling, craft and play!

Join the members of the Gateway Church for a fun Easter trail around the grounds of St Mark’s Church. This free event will showcase artwork from a range of individuals in our church community young and old, there will also be different activities along the trail to take part in and Easter eggs to be given away at the end. Be sure to book a slot in advance!

Calling all foodies! Throughout lockdown Heaney and Mill in Headingley have been delivering their famously good roast dinners every weekend for people to enjoy at home. Easter Sunday will be no eggception (sorry couldn’t resist). Spring fresh asparagus and pea soup with whipped goats cheese cream for starters. Their famous Sunday roast for mains. With choices including the traditional Easter roast lamb and Leek and cheese wellington for vegetarians. Pudding is an indulgent cream egg triple chocolate brownie with strawberry cream because you can never have too much chocolate at Easter.

This week Harewood food and drink project have an indulgent Easter themed feast. All their food is locally sourced and much of it is grown, reared and foraged from the Harewood estate itself. There’s a savoury hot crossed bun starter. Hebridean Lamb for mains and of course the obligatory Easter chocolate in the form of Cocoa and fig leaf profiteroles with rhubarb compote for desert. It’s Traditional Easter with a twist.

Not to be outdone, The Tetley Bar + Kitchen have created their own cracking creation too with their Easter Roast Lamb Box packed full of tasty treats.
