Cool and Cosy Outdoor Drinking and Dining

The weather may be getting a little chilly, but that’s nothing a log fire or outdoor heater can’t fix! From rooftop bars to inviting outdoor tipis, our venues will be keeping you warm and snug this season. We’ve put together a list of the cool and cosiest outdoor spots in Leeds this Winter so you can enjoy those long winter evenings in style.

 

 

Thor’s Tipi

19th Nov – 2nd Jan, Victoria Gardens

What better way to celebrate Christmas this year than in a Viking inspired, pop-up tipi bar? Inside, guests can cosy up by the log fires, admire the twinkling lights and drink in the festive cheer and outside they can enjoy the Winter garden with Christmas trees, atmospheric lights and outdoor heating. Feast on hearty winter treats and snacks and wash them down with the best Ales, Mulled Wine, Hot Cider, Hot Chocolate, Prosecco and much more.

 

 

Igloo bar and Millennium Square

26th Nov – 24th Dec, Millennium Square

This year the Spirit of Christmas Igloo Bar will be operating in Millennium Square by the Ice Cube ice rink complete with winter garden themed décor, live music and entertainment, indoor heating and an extensive drinks menu. In partnership with Igloo Disco, the new immersive offering will be open daily from 12pm-9:30pm. Surrounding this venue there will be plenty of Christmas chalet style food vendors, selling festive favourites such as Bratwursts, Canadian Poutine, churros, waffles and so much more, with outdoor covered seating.

 

 

 

Briggate Tipi

Mid November- End of December

New to Briggate this year from mid-November to the end of December is a pop-up Tipi for families and shoppers to enjoy. There will be a café serving refreshments inside, but visitors are more than welcome to bring their own food and drinks too. Whether you fancy a hot drink with the family or just want to take a break from a busy day of Christmas shopping, this cosy space is the ideal spot to relax and recharge!

 

 

Headrow House

All year round

Built in a former textile mill, in a historic yard in the heart of the city centre, Headrow House boasts a Michelin Guide restaurant the Ox Club, a beer hall with brews from around the globe and a live music venue. That’s before you make your way up to the huge roof terrace featuring magnificent views over the city’s finest landmarks, with plenty of heaters to keep you nice and cosy.

 

 

Greek Street

All year round

Greek street is home to many great bars and restaurants and, as it’s a fully pedestrianised street, most of them have outdoor areas for customers to enjoy. With a whole host of sleek and stylish spots including Lost and Found, The Alchemist, Dakota, Bar Soba, The Liquorist and Neighbourhood to name a few and many of them equipped with outdoor heaters, it’s the perfect place to enjoy some cocktails or indulge in a luxury feast while still enjoying those picturesque winter evenings.

 

 

The Ivy Victoria Quarter

This winter The Ivy in Victoria Quarter is a great spot to unwind, sample some of their festive cocktail creations and enjoy the festivities. The inside of the restaurant has been dressed to bottom in beautiful Christmas decorations. With seating in the heart of Victoria Quarter, underneath the remarkable stained glass roof, you can also get the al fresco dining feel this Christmas without having to deal with the cold!

 

Restaurant Bar and Grill

In the heart of city square, Leeds’ landmark Old Post Office is an elegant setting for your brunch, lunch, dinner or private party.
