Roundhay Park will be transformed into a stunning wonderland of larger-than-life lanterns, taking inspiration from all over the world to create breath-taking displays at the Magical Lantern Festival, last entry is at 8:45pm.


Join Harewood for a truly spectacular Victorian Christmas. Discover Victorian traditions and see the house come to life with beautiful decorations, open until 6pm. 


Dressed for the season, and matching the onscreen Woolpack, the Emmerdale Studio Experience will be transformed into a scent-sation, focusing on Christmas smells. Step behind the camera and find out how the characters you love, and the stories you remember are brought to life. Last tour at 2:30pm.


Snuggle up around the fire in THOR’S tipi open until 10pm and then take in spectacular views over Leeds on the big wheel (last ride approximately 10pm).


There’s woolly festive crafts and festive films at Armley Mills Industrial Museum, a Harry Potter collection to explore at Leeds Central Library and plenty to discover at Leeds City Museum including their special exhibition all about Skeletons.


Leeds Art Gallery has recently reopened after an extensive refurbishment so call in to have a look around and Thwaite Mills Watermill will be open for a great day out.


Walk off some of those Christmas treats around the picturesque gardens of Temple Newsam and Lotherton Hall or visit the Royal Armouries Museum; the UK’s largest collection of arms and armour.

You'll be dancing in the aisles to the high-octane Rock ‘n’ Roll Panto, Aladdin, at City Varieties Music Hall, there’s a 12pm performance on New Year’s Eve.

The Carriageworks present the much-loved story of Jack and the Beanstalk with a lively pantomime all ages will enjoy, catch a show at either 11am or 2:30pm.

Feel-good, funny and full of yuletide joy, Nativity! The Musical features all of the favourite sing-a-long hits from the films. There’s a 2pm New Year’s Eve performance that’ll leave you smiling into next year.

Celebrate the coming of the New Year with an afternoon filled with wonderful Viennese waltzes, marches and polkas in the magnificent surroundings of Leeds Town Hall at the Viennese Whirl at 3pm.

You can laugh your way into 2018 with a comedy special at either The Wardrobe or HiFi Club, both starting from 8pm. Plus, your ticket includes entry to the venues New Year’s Eve parties so the celebrations keep going!

The guys at Ham & Friends are creating a special 4 course New Year's Eve dinner and a glass of fizz at midnight.

Enjoy an exclusive, five-course tasting menu with champagne on arrival at Issho and then continue the party and ring in the New Year with their house DJ in the Kori Bar. 

HOME is a dining concept from chefs Mark Owens (former Head Chef of a Michelin star restaurant) and Elizabeth Cottam (MasterChef contestant). They will be creating a very special 10 course tasting menu followed by live entertainment to count down into the New Year.
