There's an abundance of festive entertainment in Leeds that will captivate and delight all ages.

The spectacular Leeds Lights Switch On is the perfect way to kick start a packed calendar of enchanting events. Join us at your favourite Christmas Market; with stunning stalls, a traditional carousel and a feast of festive treats! Hop on the sparkling 100ft Leeds Wheel of Light to view the city from a new angle. Then celebrate Christmas with a Viking theme at Thor’s Tipi; with cosy furs, an open fire pit, twinkling lights and plenty of Christmas cheer.

Unlock the Magic at Harewood House; the statues are singing, the paintings are gossiping and there’s hustle and bustle both above and below stairs. Get creative with Leeds Art Gallery, Leeds Industrial Museum and Leeds City Museum at their crafts events. The Christmas Experience at Lotherton Hall offers the ultimate festive day out, enjoy a magical Twelve Days of Christmas Walk, visit the North Pole where you’ll find Santa and join the Elf Workshop and, new for 2019, an ice rink!

Experience spectacular and dazzling performances from our unmissable programme of festive events.

Northern Ballet present Cinderella and the Orchestra of Opera North have exciting seasonal performances such as The Snowman and Viennese Whirl. Soar over the rainbow as Leeds Playhouse whisks you away with The Wizard of Oz inside their newly refurbished theatre.

Don't miss the world premiere stage production of the multi-award winning TV series Band of Gold at Leeds Grand Theatre. It's all about family fun at Carriageworks with that winter staple, a pantomime, Sleeping Beauty. Catch a superstar at first direct arena with Little Mix, Rod Stewart, Jane McDonald and many more gracing the stage this winter. And it's time to party with City Varieties' much-loved Rock 'N' Roll Panto, this year it's Red Riding Hood.
