Leeds welcomes the first National Hydrogen Summit to the city

A brand new conference was held Leeds in on the 27th and 28th of June, with the arrival of the inaugural National Hydrogen Summit at Cloth Hall Court and Leeds Civic Hall. The conference, which was the first of its kind, brought together 260 delegates from industry, academia and politics to develop a cohesive voice for hydrogen and create a committed policy to help reduce carbon emissions to ‘net zero’ by 2050, in line with government proposals.

Putting pen to paper: MEETinLEEDS celebrates success of writing retreat

MEETinLEEDS, the conference facilities of the University of Leeds, is celebrating the success of the recent writing retreat, Mslexicon, which welcomed over 200 delegates to the beautiful Devonshire Hall in Leeds, last weekend.

Yorkshire to host new National Film and Television School hub

The National Film and Television School (NFTS) is to open a hub in Leeds.

NFTS Leeds is part of the School’s strategy to support the growth of film and television production outside London. It is backed by Channel 4 whose new HQ is to be based in the city as well as ITV, who also have a production base in Leeds. Other supporters include BFI, Screen Yorkshire and ScreenSkills.

MEETinLEEDS welcomes experts to the UK’s most popular health conference of the year

MEETinLEEDS, the conference facilities of the University of Leeds, welcomes academics to the city for the UK’s most prestigious and popular health IT leadership event, Digital Summer School. Welcoming over 450 delegates from all over the world, the conference will aim to shape the future direction of NHS IT, as well as provide networking opportunities and personal development within the sector.
