Fabulous Santas’ To Visit In Leeds This Christmas

What better way to join the spirit of Christmas than with a visit to the big man himself? We’re showcasing five family friendly Santa experiences in Leeds for this festive season.

 

The Christmas Adventure at Stockeld Park

20th November – 4th January 

Santa is back for 2021! Our Santa’s Grotto is the most wonderful experience for both adults and children. With twinkling lights and Santa in a rustic wooden cabin, the whole family will feel the festive cheer here!

Stockeld Park really is the true home of Christmas! With tickets sold on a first-come first served-basis, make sure you don’t miss your chance to see Santa and join in all the festive fun.

Seeing What Santa Sees at Victoria Quarter

4th, 5th 11th, 12th December, then daily from 18th – 23rd December, 11am till 5pm

Grab a spot, sit and listen to Santa at this immersive storytelling experience as he takes you along on his journey. Santa is inviting his favourite elves to join him on an enchanting trip around the world on Christmas Eve. Follow him as he makes his deliveries; discover who he meets, where he goes and see how Christmas is celebrated around the globe.

 

The Candy Cane Club at Merrion Centre

Running every Saturday and Sunday starting on the 20th November

This festive season at the Merrion Centre enjoy their wacky winter wonderland and have a visit with Santa at The Candy Cane Club! Take a photo with the big man himself and if you’ve been good all year, you might even get a special treat. Book your place here!

 

Harewood: Father Christmas Family Experience

4th and 5th December, 11th and 12th December, 18th and 19th December, 20th, 21st, 22nd and 23rd December. 10:15am to 17:30pm.

Make their Christmas magical with a private family visit to Father Christmas at Harewood, this year he will be taking up residence in the historic Old Library, where twinkling lights and rich decorations make for a truly authentic experience.

There will be storytelling and gifts to add a sprinkle of magic to all who visit. With each individual family group having their own short private audience with Father Christmas. Each child will receive a gift from Father Christmas and there will be an opportunity for a family photograph.

Christmas at Temple Newsam

26th November – 2nd January 2022

Experience this After Dark illuminated trail through the grounds and glimpse Father Christmas along the way! Discover sparkling tunnels of light, walk under giant baubles and beneath the trees illuminated in Christmas colours. For a moment of reflection, pause at mesmerising, flickering flames in the fire garden and gaze at the specially chosen illuminations. Adults £16-£22.50. Children £12 (3-16 years)

The Christmas Experience at Lotherton

27th November – 2nd January 2022

The Christmas Experience at Lotherton returns this year, with Santa and his elves ready to welcome visitors from across Leeds and beyond.

Brand new for 2021, the Festive Woodland Walk includes larger than life Christmas traditions including interactive elements for all the family to enjoy.

Families are invited to come on down to the elven bivouac to meet Santa and the elves under the magical wishing tree for stories and elf tales. Gather reindeer food for Rudolf and post a letter to Santa before finally meeting the main man himself outside Santa’s Cabin. They can also join the elves and Mrs Claus for Christmas crafts and Gingerbread decorating. Then take a walk through the magical, interactive festive woodland walk, visit the Wildlife World with the playful penguins, flamingos and many more and see the house in all its Christmas glory.  There is even a shorter Santa experiences for pre-schoolers every weekday

Meeting Santa at Middleton Railway 

4th – 24th December

All aboard the Santa Special! This Christmas give the whole family and unique festive experience and ride the Santa Special Train with Father Christmas and all of his elves in tow. On the journey to the park and back Santa will have a specially selected present for each member of his young audience. Then, while eager little fingers open their presents, you can socialise in our café area where drinks and seasonal mince pies and biscuits are being served.

 

Santa at the Museum at Abbey House

4th – 23rd December

This year Santa will once again be meeting families in the snowy square, right by his grotto full of presents! The whole family can come and meet him to let him know whether they’ve been good this year, write a Christmas list for him to pop in our post box or take a picture with Father Christmas. The Victorian streets will be seasonally decorated. There will be trails to try, sprouts to spot, silly hats to selfie and cosy corners to curl up for a story all included with your entry. There is also a craft bag for each child to take home.

 

Santa will be visiting lots of other venues around Leeds this festive season, before he rushes back to the North Pole for his epic Christmas Eve journey. You can catch him whilst you are out shopping at Victoria Gate, the Merrion Centre, the Corn Exchange and Trinity Leeds.
