Details
The Timble Inn has re-opened after 5 years and £1 million of extensive renovation and restoration. This grade II listed building, a former coaching inn, has now been thoroughly modernised and benefits from a hand-built bar, restaurant area and six luxurious bedrooms where no expense has been spared in creating a casually elegant atmosphere. The inn is set at the heart of the quietly beautiful village of Timble, the inhabitants of which make any visitors to the area heartily welcome. There is ample private parking for guests and a boot-store is also available. The blend of the historic exterior of the building with a modern twist on the traditional interior make a stay at the Timble inn a rare treat.
The inn is perfectly situated 10 miles from the beautiful spa town of Harrogate and equidistant to Skipton, Otley and the old roman town of Ilkley (Olicana) and is idyllically set in an area of outstanding beauty on the North York Moors. Walks can either start directly from the hotel, taking in the glorious lower Wharf dale and Washburn Valley's, as well as the guided routes around the nearby Swinsty and Fewston reservoirs, or after a short drive to the breath-taking North Yorkshire Moors (short walking guides available on request at the bar).
After a busy day of walking, shopping or sight seeing, you can relax in our cosy snug looking out at the beautiful countryside with a glass of wine from our extensive wine list, a pint of Theakstons Best or a nip of local brewery Copper Dragons Golden Pippin, before settling in to enjoy our amazing food and unobtrusive service in our public dining room, the cuisine is inspired by traditional English dishes and is prepared fresh and cooked to order. Here is a chance to enjoy lovingly prepared food while unwinding in elegantly beautiful historic surroundings.
Rooms are ready on the day of arrival from 3pm and check out is requested by 10.30am. For the availability of alternative timings please contact the hotel direct to arrange.
Children welcome from age 10.
