Bananarama to perform full live show at Millennium Square, Leeds

6th March 2018

Global 80s icons and the biggest girl band to emerge from the UK, Bananarama are back on top! The original line up reunited for a sold out 2017 indoor theatre tour across the UK and now announce a full live concert at Millennium Square, Leeds on Saturday 4 August 2018. This is the only chance a Leeds audience will get to see the original line up!

AND to kick off the evening TV and Radio star Sara Cox will DJ her massively popular 80’s set and ensure the party gets started in the biggest way possible.
The concert is part of an incredible line-up of events in Leeds across the weekend for Pride – a brilliant pre-party for the LGBT Pride Parade which takes place across the city the next day.

It is also part of the ‘Live Summer Series’ taking place in Leeds Millennium Square across the summer with more concerts to be announced in the coming weeks, complimenting the already announced shows from The Pretenders on Friday 03 August and Simple Minds and KT Tunstall on Saturday 11 August.
The trio reformed for a huge sell-out UK tour last year and they haven’t looked back since! Bananarama are Siobhan Fahey, Sara Dallin and Keren Woodward and they come to Leeds fresh from selling out tour dates across the Atlantic in USA and Canada.

Sara said, “We had the best time on tour last year and we’re so excited to continue the original line-up show into the summer! We’re really looking forward to playing with our live band again.”

Keren said, “This concert is part of the Leeds Pride weekend – an event that for years has unified the city in celebration and we are thrilled to have been invited to perform as part of it.”

Siobhan added, “We love partying at our shows and to be part of Leeds Pride means the people of Leeds are certainly in for a massive party. Come join us on August 4th in Millennium Square.”
