COCOON IN THE PARK 2018 – The 10th anniversary

In 2009 a one day one night one stage festival made an extraordinary debut in the heart of the Yorkshire countryside.
The legendary Sven Vath and Shane Graham, the mastermind behind the Mint brand and the influential Leeds night System, had been out and about somewhere. They had a moment, a big idea – a vision. The next morning, in the cold light of day, the vision was somehow still there and it had bells on. Cocoon in the Park was born.
In 2009 Sven, Luciano and Steve Bug performed on this famous stage nestled between the trees in the fabulous grounds of Temple Newsam. Ricardo Villalobos, Richie Hawtin, Loco Dice, Dixon, Adam Beyer, Cassy, The Martinez Brothers amongst the many who followed.

Celebrating with us in 2018.
Of course things get started with our very own Annie Errez and Bobby O´Donnell. Every year they have bookended the event with Sven Vath. They know how to start this party. CitP favourite Enzo Siragusa is next, this time joined by two tall talents Archie Hamilton & Rossko. They go B2B. In 2014 Apollonia brought their vinyl and the sound soared above the trees. It was amazing for them and for us, the 10th anniversary we get second helpings. Seth Troxler in 2014 and Craig Richards in 2013 were flying solo and delivering the post. We lured them both back for our anniversary and if you have never seen their chemistry B2B then pop pickers today is the day. For the first time we welcome to the big stage the trailblazing Tale of Us. They conquered Ibiza with a flick of their wrists and just kept going. It will be large. It will be unmissable.
Which leaves the colossus that is Sven Vath, a man that obviously eats a different sort of breakfast to the rest of us. Another World Tour under his belt yet he would tell you there are not many nights that beat this one. Under the stars and with a light show spectacular that befits a 10th birthday party enjoy again one of the true legends of dance music.
