In a world where everybody wants to be somebody, the arrival of Mr. Nobody onto the Leeds food and cocktail scene provides a welcome breath of fresh air to this rapidly evolving city.

Taking up residence on Lower Briggate in the venue formerly known as Rare, this new kid on the block has turned the tables on the competitive dining scene, by making the customer King and central to their core strategy.


Upbeat and eclectic

The cosy venue lends itself well to the casual drinker and diner, and plays an eclectic soundtrack of upbeat music that aims to make you feel good. Whether you want to dance the night away, cocktail in hand, pig out on ten plates or simply pick up some nibbles, Mr Nobody welcomes you with open arms.
The menu is made up of a mouth-watering selection of diverse and daring non-Spanish tapas dishes, which revitalise classics as well as providing a discovery range for the more adventurous and discerning foodie.

Stone Bass with Scraps, Dripping and Beer Vinaigrette provide a welcome twist to a British staple, whilst small plates such as the Ox heart and Lamb Sweetbreads spiced with Indian flavours are moderately priced to encourage diners to broaden their pallets.

In fact, the price point is pitched at any wallet, big or small - snacks are between £2-4, larger dishes £5-12 and puddings £3-6 (the Chocolate Tart is an absolute no-brainer and already has its own following).

Quality conquers

Quality always conquers quantity and so the small but mighty cocktail list will change to reflect each season, and will be made up of some of the finest liquors you’ll find in Yorkshire. Meticulous attention to detail has also been paid to the wine and beer list to ensure nobody goes thirsty.

Visitors can expect a host of special one-off, food-centric events, as well as guest DJ’s on the weekend, to get the crowd going on in the bar and out onto the terrace.


Mr Who?

So, who makes up the bunch of nobody's behind this exciting new concept? It all started 10 years ago, when three lads shared an obsession for good food and drink, and vowed that they would one day work together. And so the first seeds of Mr Nobody were sown.

John Farrar, the chef has worked for no less than 11 Michelin starred restaurants in his illustrious career, and wanted to bring some of that forward thinking flair and experience into a more accessible environment.

Andrew Trudgill, the barman left Sheffield to hone his craft in London, before returning home to shake up a storm in a successful bar venture with John. His talents were recognised when he was placed in the top 6 UK World Class for mixology- all within one year of inception.

David Pickard, the computer geek adds a whole new, often overlooked perspective to the business, with qualifications in computer programming and electrical engineering under his belt. He's also seen success with a wholesale drinks company and bar venture in Sheffield.
