Shake it off at Loop: Sing-along party bar heading to Merrion Street

6th February 2019

Merrion Street’s party central reputation is about to be sealed with the launch of a new bar that promises to inject your night out with an adrenaline shot of fun. Brought to you by the guys behind Roxy Ball Room, Loop is a sing-along party bar that specialises in cocktails, craft beer, karaoke and all round good times.

Housed in the site previously occupied by The Pit, the hottest new arrival will boast old-school arcade machines, Prosecco Pong and beer pong, and 5 private karaoke booths. Loop will be open Wednesday through to Saturday, allowing it to entertain the hedonistic Leeds crowd during the city’s peak nightlife hours.

Sing it back

The bar will be manned by an up-for-it team of bar tenders and floor staff, who have all been carefully selected for their ability to get the party started and the crowd rocking. The playlist will be an eclectic mix of sing-along party anthems, ranging from straight up pop, to rock, rap, disco and dance. In short, the music policy is as broad as can be, but if it ain’t a bop then it ain’t gonna drop!
Those looking to take the party away from the dancefloor to somewhere a little more private can check into one of 5 state-of-the-art karaoke booths. Equipped with over 100,000 songs to choose from, guests will be able to belt out tunes ranging from the latest top 40 ear-worms to one-hit wonders from the 80’s, 90’s and beyond.

Four booths can comfortably entertain groups of 5-15, whilst the largest booth can take parties of up to 20. Booths cost just £8pp for the first hour and £4pp for every hour thereafter. Loop is also available for private hire for parties of up to 100, where bespoke drink, pizza and karaoke packages can be arranged.

Bespoke Loop pours

The Loop bar will be armed with an impressive arsenal of 12 local and international craft beers and ciders, premium liquors and the kind of mixologists that can give Tom Cruise circa 1988 a run for his money. The cocktail menu will consist of no less than 18 ingenious concoctions and four sharer cocktails, with a mixture of classics and bespoke Loop pours.

The gaming area will host arcade machines, as well as ping pong tables for beer and Prosecco pong. Loop Brand Development Manager Joel Mitchell had this to say ahead of the official mid-February launch party:

The Leeds nightlife scene has rocketed in the last few years, but we believe there’s still a huge gap in the market for an upfront party bar where revellers can really let their hair down. We’re confident Loop can fill that gap, as well as offering wannabee singers the chance to let loose and sing like nobody’s listening in our private booths. We can’t wait to see you all at the bar for a cocktail or three.

Loop will be open until 1am on Wednesday and Thursday and 4am on Friday and Saturdays. Bookings are open now, so reserve your spot and let the good times roll!
