Travel Back to the Twenties for A Speakeasy Soiree at The Light

The Light launches a series of Secret Supper Clubs – starting on Friday 22 April - to raise funds for St George’s Crypt

Enjoy dining with a twist as The Light launches a series of unique and exciting Secret Supper Clubs. Guests will be taken on a variety of intriguing culinary journeys across the world and through the ages – and all in the name of a very good cause.

The first of The Light’s Supper Club is A Speakeasy Soiree and will take diners back to the 1920’s Prohibition Era, when drinking was done in secret, entertainment was extravagant and there was no such thing as dressing down for dinner.

Taking place on Friday 22 April, at 7.30pm, visitors are invited to don flapper dresses and feather boas or pinstriped suits and straw boaters as they head to a top-secret venue to enjoy an evening of themed entertainment and a delicious three-course dinner.

With live jazz music, flapper dancers, old fashion cocktails and much more, this one-of-a-kind event is not to be missed.

Tickets are priced at £35 with £5 from each ticket going to The Light’s charity partner, St. Georges Crypt. The charity works with homeless and vulnerable adults, providing immediate care and support, food and accommodation. It runs engagement activities and skills training and works towards positive change and employability

Stephanie James, Marketing Manager at The Light, said: “We’re very excited to be launching our new Secret Supper Clubs. It’s a completely unique night out and definitely a fun addition to the Leeds dining scene – we’re sure all of our guests will have a night to remember! Best of all, it will raise money for our charity partner, St George’s Crypt, and the vital work they do with the homeless around our city.”

Verity Griffiths, Community Fundraiser, St George’s Crypt, said: “We were delighted to be chosen at The Light’s charity partner this year. The Light’s Secret Supper Club programme is a great way of giving people a chance to support our work in a fun way.”

Only 30 tickets in total are available and they’re selling out fast. To find out more and purchase a ticket visit
