Platinum Jubilee City Centre Street Parties

The City Centre will come alive for the Platinum Jubilee, with people celebrating this once-in-a-lifetime event all together – just like in 1953! Find everything you need to know below.

Merrion Street East

Building on the success of running great festivals over the years, Merrion Street will be holding a street party on Thursday 2nd June. With a music stage and some of the city’s best bars, what better place to start your long Bank Holiday weekend? You can party well into the evening with great food, drink and people.

Lower Briggate

Along Lower Briggate many of the bars and restaurants will be having their own outdoor street parties with street food, live acoustic music and DJs. There will be red, white and blue decorations all around to celebrate the historic day and many more activities, like street performances, taking place from Wednesday afternoon through to Sunday evening.

New Briggate

The bars and restaurants along New Briggate will be holding barbeques with live music. Extra seating will be placed out in the newly pedestrianised street, so you can relax and enjoy the city’s vibrant atmosphere.

Call Lane in Leeds

Call Lane

Independent businesses on Call Lane will join hands to provide an independent food and drink festival, with a family-friendly daytime atmosphere. We’re talking live music, street food and outdoor bars from Friday at midday through to Sunday evening.

Cookridge Street

Cookridge Street will play host to live jazz music across the Jubilee Bank Holiday. A number of local bands will be performing on the stage, providing quality entertainment for all the family.

Greek Street

On Thursday 2nd June, the residents of Greek Street will come together.  From 11am until 10pm, each venue will have their own outdoor bar and there will be a series of outdoor DJ sets.
