Bettakultcha: Utopias & Dystopias

Bettakultcha: Utopias & Dystopias

A night out like no other. Bettakultcha is part comedy, part TED talk, part festival with a little open mic, campfire storytelling and improvised monologues thrown into the mix.

Put simply - it’s a night of quick-fire, 5-min extraordinary talks from everyday folks.

Often funny, often thoughtful and always interesting. Bettakultcha is a place where anyone can speak about anything, any passion or interest - no matter how bizarre or boring they think it is.

For almost 10 years, this unique evening experience has delighted a cult-following of crowds in West Yorkshire (and sometimes in Manchester and York too) with its simple format:

Passionate people

5 minute talks

20 slides

And no sales pitches

And the door is open.

Anyone can present - even YOU. Even if you’re a timid first timer or public-speaking pro.

Because passion is contagious.

Time and time again people come to Bettakultcha to feel that passion and discover new interests, new ideas and new interesting folk.

We believe giving people the space and confidence to share what they’re truly passionate about helps people feel a little closer, even when we’re so different.

So, come along to one of the most unexpected and unique events out there.

One of Bettakultcha’s famous features is the Random Slide Challenge.

Worth the ticket price alone, everynight ends with a handful of crowd members pulling a 2-and-a-half-minute presentation out of their backside while a suite of random slides whizzes past.
