Tales of Whatever at The Leeds Library

Tales of Whatever at The Leeds Library

Following a successful run at the 2019 Edinburgh Fringe, Tales of Whatever is proud to present its first show in Leeds. Storytellers and comedians share 10 minute true stories in the historic surroundings of the Leeds Library.

Up to five acts join hosts Mark Powell and Lee Moore to share tales of funny, weird, glorious or memorable incidents and encounters. Previous speakers from as far afield as Buenos Aires, Gauteng, Melbourne, Salford and NYC have discussed being shipwrecked, marrying pantomime horses, collecting in-laws from prison, and solving domestic hauntings with GCSE chemistry.

‘Conversational, funny and inclusive’ The Guardian

Lineup to be announced soon!

Tickets are £5. Doors open at 7.00pm. Show lasts 2 hours. There will be a bar selling refreshments.

_The Leeds Library was founded in 1768 as a membership subscription Library. It is Leeds’ oldest cultural institution and now exists as an independent charity. Its current residence, which has been occupied since 1808, is an absolute gem of Georgian architecture and is a Grade II listed building. You will find the Library on Commercial Street in the very heart of Leeds city centre._

_Founded in Manchester in 2011, Tales of Whatever hosts monthly live shows in Sheffield, as well as programming, hosting and performing at a variety of festivals, events and venues around the UK._ [] FB: [] Twitter: @talesofwhatever Instagram: @_talesofwhatever
