Join us for Movie Night at the museum!

IMDb synopsis - Merlin the magician helps Arthur Pendragon unite the Britons around the Round Table of Camelot, even as dark forces conspire to tear it apart.

15, 1981 Director: John Boorman Starring: Nigel Terry, Helen Mirren, Nicol Williamson, Patrick Stewart, Liam Neeson and Gabriel Byrne Running time: 2 hours 20 minutes

We are bringing you cult classics from the big screen in our very own War Cinema, featuring props and weapons influenced by our collection, some of which can be found in our new Make: Believe display.

The evening will start at 7 pm with an introductory talk and the chance to get up close to some of the props and weapons used in the film. There will be tips on what to look out for on the big screen and behind-the-scenes insights from our experts.

The museum will re-open at 6 pm so why not take the chance to visit the Make: Believe display on floor 4 before the film. This brand new display showcases the museum’s extensive collection of arms and armour from film, television, stage and more.

A pay bar will be open from 6 pm, serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, and your favourite movie snacks, including hot dogs, popcorn and candy floss.
