Not been in the house before? Explore for free to see world class collections, created by the greatest craftsmen of the 18th century.

This year we’ve a special exhibition celebrating the Otley-born craftsman and designer, Thomas Chippendale. Walk through the interior worlds that he created at Nostell and explore the collection of over one hundred items designed and supplied by the ‘Shakespeare of furniture’.

Whilst you’re here, take a wander through the gardens, where you’ll find colourful herbaceous borders in the Kitchen Garden and winding walks through woodland and alongside lakes full of wildlife. Don’t miss the secluded Menagerie Garden, once home to species including lions, monkeys and exotic birds.

Explore the Obelisk Lodge open in the parkland, take part in an Upstairs/Downstairs tour in the house and find out more about looking after these special collections from the conservation team
