Details

This Easter Monday 22 April, make the most of the public holiday and indulge in some good old fashioned family fun at Standedge Tunnel's Easter Fair.

All part of the fair

There'll be a wide range of food stalls, craft stalls, BBQ, wood-fired pizza oven, face painting, gin bar, live music, Easter egg hunt and boat trips into the tunnel.

Parking information

NB: For safety reasons, there will be no parking on site on the day of the event. However, parking will be available at the old goods yard (HD7 6DH) or in Marsden town centre (a short walk along the towpath to Tunnel End). Leave the car at home and enjoy a tipple or two.

As one of the Seven Wonders of the Waterways, visitors can explore deep into the tunnel on one of the family friendly guided boat trips, stop for a bite to eat in the cafe and let kids jump, climb and explore our playgroud and wildlife garden.

By Road:
Follow the brown and white tourist signs from Marsden village centre, which if off the A62 between Huddersfield and Oldham. Park next to Marsden Railway Station and follow signs on towpath.

By Public Transport:
15 minute stroll down the towpath to the visitor centre. There are regular Transpennine services from York, Manchester and Liverpool.
