Women in Music Wikithon

Women in Music Wikithon

To celebrate the amazing women in our new Music in Leeds exhibition, Abbey House Museum is hosting a friendly and practical workshop for people who want to increase representation on the widely- used website Wikipedia.

We’ll show you how to make an account and update existing Wikipedia pages about people featuring in our exhibition. We’ll also help you to find new places to research Leeds’ music history.

To get the most out of the session, you’ll need to bring your own laptop or tablet (contact us if you need help with sourcing a device) and have a basic knowledge of computers. If you’ve ever sent an email, you can definitely edit a Wikipedia page!

Included in the session is a tour of the exhibition to get ideas flowing and refreshments.

Please book on eventbrite.
