For many of us, the city is the space we find most of our interactions taking place, as well as where we pursue our goals, find frustrations, and the space which we inhabit together. Join us for a day of discussion with some of the most interesting thinkers and practitioners from across the city.

We'll be discussing matters such as what does the spatial distribution of the city tell us about the city's attitude towards creativity? How does the city's theatre and film culture relate to its politics? How liveable is the city? How do we navigate collective decision making in the city? Alongside these questions we'll hear from some of the city's researchers, via the outward looking PubhD Leeds []. It has been said that the city's academic quarters can be cut off from the city itself, PubHD aims to bridge some of that gap by bringing research into an informal setting.

Our Perception of Today - Featuring The Bo's, Lara Jones and Muriel & Blazquez:

Five creatives play with their perceptions of the city and how their daily life becomes tangled around it. Using dance, spoken word, visual art and poetry, this evening will immerse the audience into a web of narratives. The artists involved will be The Bos, Lara Jones and Muriel & Blazquez who will be launching their first single. The event will also include the first ever screening of Muriel & Blazquez's music video to accompany the new single. In the single you meet a character who at first feels alone and alien to their body but eventually finds solace when they let the city's nightlife absorb them and protect them from their sobering day.
