This route also links into new off-road routes in the Methley area that are being created, such as the Kippax Linesway and the Fairburn Ings Nature Reserve and Country Park near Mickletown. You can also follow the towpath to the Royal Armouries towards Leeds city centre but there is a short section of road that can be busy and would not be suitable for young children.
