Leeds Lieder continues its tradition of showcasing a Kathleen Ferrier Award winner. This year we provide a platform to winner of the First Prize 2017 and Royal College of Music graduate, Julien van Mellaerts. In addition to his triumph at the Ferrier Awards, at which his pianist Gamal Khamis scooped the coveted Accompanist’s Prize, Julien went on to win the most recent Wigmore Hall International Song Competition, placing his star firmly in the Lieder firmament.
