Leeds College of Music Wind Orchestra

Andrew Mallon was born in Greenock on the west coast of Scotland. He studied tuba at RNCM under Brian Kingsley, Robin Haggart and Ewan Easton as well as participating in masterclasses with James Gourlay, Les Neish, Jens Bjørn-Larsen and and Kristian Steenstrup. Andrew was also a recipient of The Philip Jones Prize with his brass quintet, Arcane Brass.

TRAIN
Leeds City Station, situated on New Station Street, is approximately a 10-minute walk from Leeds College of Music.

COACH
Leeds Central Coach Station is situated on Dyer Street between Quarry Hill and Kirkgate Market, opposite the West Yorkshire Playhouse and just two minutes from Leeds College of Music. Regular services operate from Hull, London and Manchester Airport.

Leeds is located at the crossroads of the M62 and the M1, and just a few kilometres from the A1.

When entering the city, follow the brown road signs for ‘West Yorkshire Playhouse’ at Quarry Hill, just off the A64 York Road in the centre of Leeds – or you can follow the City Centre Loop signs.

Major attractions, including the West Yorkshire Playhouse, are identified on the Loop signs. The Conservatoire is at Loop Junction 12.

Please note the Conservatoire does not have any car parking space. We recommend that visitors use the multi-storey car park on Harper Street near Leeds Kirkgate Market.
