Darbari Minstrels: Music from Courts of Kings and

From Afghanistan to Punjab, explore new sounds from these historic lands. Let the music take you back in time to the 15th century. Escape dreary November and be immersed in the rabab, a 2500-year-old stringed instrument from Afghanistan, performed by award-winning musician Qais Essar. Accompanying him is Surdarshan Singh Channa, a rising
star in the tabla and pakawaj, two percussion instruments of nobility.

Joining them will be renowned musician Kirpal Singh Panesar, to perform a series of Shabads (sacred songs from Sikh scriptures) synonymous with the great court of Guru
Nanak and his minstrels.
