Be inspired by Leeds’ rich enterprise scene in this display which has been co-curated by local entrepreneurs and students.

Boasting household names such as Marks and Spencer, Leeds has built on a vast and diverse tradition of enterprise to become one of the largest business centres in the UK. Inspiring Enterprise will uncover just a few of the amazing stories behind this success. Discover how a business started by a student with a badge maker was transformed into a global producer of merchandise. Find out more about the incredible social enterprise stories in Leeds, including the disabled workforce whose response to redundancy was to launch their own not for profit packing co-operative.

Please note the museum is closed on Mondays apart from Bank Holidays.

    Leeds City Museum is located in the city centre, on Millennium Square.
    By public transport: A 10 minute walk from Leeds railway station and a 15 minute walk from the city centre bus station.
    By car: On street parking is available on Rossington Street and Cookridge Street. Woodhouse Lane, The Light, Merrion Centre, St John’s Centre and Rose Bowl car parks are all a 5 or 10 minute walk from the museum.
