Leeds Museums' Collection of Dead Things

Leeds Museums' Collection of Dead Things

Details

From dodos to dinosaurs and primroses to polar bears, Leeds has been collecting dead things since 1821. With tales of derring-do in the Himalayas, boggy excavations in Mauritius and purveyors of Australian wildlife, this talk by Clare Brown, Curator of Natural Sciences, looks into why and how this extraordinary collection made its way to Leeds.
