Tracing Your Caribbean Ancestry

Tracing Your Caribbean Ancestry

Join our Librarian team to learn the basics of African-Caribbean family history research. This is an introductory session for complete beginners and will primarily cover online resources, such as, and how you can get the most from them. We will explore both English and Caribbean databases - such as Census returns, the Birth, Marriage and Death index, parish records and slave registers.

You must be able to use a computer and mouse for this session.

_This event is in partnership with the Jamaica Society Leeds Eulogy Project celebrating the journeys, lives and heritage of Leeds’ first generation Jamaicans no longer with us. Eulogy has been made possible with support from the National Lottery Heritage Fund, Windrush 2019 and Leeds Inspired._
