Otley Science Festival: An Evening with Paul Harda

Otley Science Festival: An Evening with Paul Harda

Professor Paul Hardaker is the Chief Executive of the Institute of Physics, a meteorologist, a physicist and a passionate advocate for physics and physicists.

Paul represents some 50,000 members of the Institute of Physics, a scientific society that works to promote physics and support physicists in their varied careers. Paul trained as a meteorologist, gaining expertise in weather and climate, an increasingly technical field, but one that affects all our lives. He enjoyed a successful career at the Met Office, where he oversaw the research programme and was their Chief Advisor to Government. Paul is an advocate for science in general and physics in particular, on TV, in the papers and in his blog.

Come along to find out about Paul, his science, his role at the Institute of Physics and what makes him tick.
