Talking Arts: Here Be Whales

Talking Arts: Here Be Whales

Despite extensive scientific research about whales, many aspects of the various species remain a mystery. This talk brings together those who think about whales from the point of view of art and culture, to offer new dimensions and frameworks for thought in the current age of the Anthropocene. Join the curators of the exhibition Here Be Whales as they discuss how whale representations can help us understand this complex species and the threat it faces.

If you’d like to make an evening of your visit to Left Bank Leeds, why not contemplate the themes of this talk at LEFT BANK CINEMA: THE WHALE RIDER [] at 8pm? SELECT THE DOUBLE BILL TICKET OPTION WHEN BOOKING TO PURCHASE A DISCOUNTED TICKET FOR BOTH EVENTS. You can grab a drink and a snack from the bar in between events.

All money raised through this event will support the development of Left Bank Leeds Charitable Trust, (charity no. 1146734).

_Please note, we take photos at our events for marketing purposes. If you would prefer not to appear in our images, it is your responsibility to speak to a member of staff at the event, in order to seek out the photographer and inform them of your wishes._
