Music & Spoken Word: We Really Existed and We Real

Music & Spoken Word: We Really Existed and We Real

Details

Join us for a musical and spoken-word performance with David Benjamin Blower, who takes us on an apocalyptic folk odyssey through our unstable present. His songs and readings are a meditation about the time between a waning past and our potentially catastrophic future.

David creates a space for lamenting endings, loss and collapse, where a growing awareness of the ecological crisis we’ve triggered opens out into melancholic wonder at our very existence.

He is joined by support act Jasmine Kennedy, an acoustic singer songwriter who blends throwaway observations with bittersweet tales to create her quietly contemplative music.

All money raised through this event will support the development of  Left Bank Leeds Charitable Trust, (charity no. 1146734).

_Please note, we take photos at our events for marketing purposes. If you would prefer not to appear in our images, it is your responsibility to speak to a member of staff at the event, in order to seek out the photographer and inform them of your wishes._
