Visitors at Hillbark

The award-winning garden of Hillbark has transformed a site that 25 years ago was almost totally overgrown. Today it is one of the most popular private gardens in Yorkshire and for 20 years has taken part in the prestigious National Gardens Scheme.

The garden is about one acre large on a south facing slope. It is laid out on three levels, each with its own style. The more formal areas around the top and middle lawns are a mix of conifers, shrubs and herbaceous plantings. A large pond with marginal planting supports a variety of wildlife.

Hillbark has featured in many newspapers and magazines, and has won national competitions in the Daily Mail, Daily Express and The Times.
