Making Songs for Leeds People

Making Songs for Leeds People

Come and join members of Leeds People's Choir in a collective exploration of inspirational people from Leeds past and have a go at creative song writing. This unique project is designed to develop new songs from old stories about the uncelebrated and unsung.

What you can expect:

A warm and friendly welcome.

Suitable for those with no experience to those with plenty!

All welcome from choir members to soloists to novices

Working with a professional musician, Fran Woodcock

Plenty of researched material to work from

Ideas and experiences to take away with you.

Each of the workshops are stand alone events but the resultant material from each of the two workshops will be considered by Leeds Peoples Choir to go forward to be developed into a performance level piece by our brilliant musical director Fran Wyburn. This and other pieces will then be performed at various venues in and around Leeds. The opportunity is there to keep in touch and offer further workshops to learn the chosen songs to performance level. Any interested people can leave their details.
